I would love to share some moving story that tells why I became a filmmaker, but the truth is there isn’t one. Becoming a filmmaker is something I have been compelled to do my entire life. I was born a storyteller who needed to learn the tools of the trade and so I did. At 16 my pops bought me my first Sony handycam and a cinematographer was born! Being a filmmaker is a part of who I am as much as my skin color is. I’m the happiest when I’m creating and bringing the stories from my imagination to life. I am a self-taught cinematographer. I studied the basics of Film, TV and Radio at Eastern Illinois University. Now my work revolves around self-teaching principles of cinematography and related technology to be innovative and marketable in the media industry.

Since I am self-taught, I learned quickly how to wear every hat. I am the Cinematographer, the gaffer, the director and editor of my own work. With the help of my beautiful wife, we make magic when we’re on any set. As an independent filmmaker, it’s always great to generate my own income. However, my payment comes when the audience is moved to laugh, cry, or feel inspired by my projects.

I bring a passionate love of quality filmmaking and a drive for excellence no matter what the project.
